Description

Description

This artificial nest is suitable for the House Martin. The nest box is made from Woodstone® a concrete and wood fibre mix. WoodStone® nest boxes safeguard against attacks from predators including woodpeckers, cats and squirrels.

Siting

Hang the artificial nests for the house martin on the façade of the house or barn, directly under the roof gutter or the overhang. Preferably on the east or northeast side, preferably with several nests together as House Martins are colonial nesters. No nesting material needs to be added. The artificial nests are supplied with mounting material, two plugs and screws.

Maintenance

The house martin nests will need to be cleaned and inspected once a year from October. For cleaning, you can turn the hook on the front of the nest bowl one turn and slide the nest out of the drawer. The suspension will need to be checked, as well as the condition of the entire artificial nest.
