What information we collect and why:

The information we gather is predominantly used to process your quote requests and any subsequent orders but it can also help us to improve our website and processes.

Information you provide

To process your quote request and complete any subsequent orders, we collect the following data:-

  • Business name
  • Contact name
  • Contact address
  • Contact phone number
  • Contact email address

Other information may be collected should you provide it, through the Contact us page, via email or telephone.

Information automatically collected:

The website will automatically collect information such as your session id, IP address or web browser capabilities.

Your session id is a simple set of letters and numbers that creates a unique, temporary identity code so the website can recognise you as you move around. Without this information it would not be possible to maintain the state of your quote request; this is stored in a cookie.

Your IP address and web browser information are used to help validate your session id. We may also use your web browser information to help tailor the appearance of the website to automatically take advantage of the features or limitations of your web browser.

How we use your information:

We are committed to protecting your privacy and will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully. We do not sell, or make available, your details to any third party for its own use.

Any third party with access to your information must follow practices that are at least as protective as those described in this Privacy Policy. The types of company that may have access to your information include (but are not limited to):

  • Couriers: as well as your name and address, your phone number will be printed on the parcel label so that you can be contacted should there be any problems with the delivery of your order and to ensure that your goods get to you as quickly as possible.
  • Analytical software: we use Google Analytics to collect non-personal, aggregate data about visitors to our website (such as web browser information and screen resolutions) which helps us make improvements. Google's Privacy Policy.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files that websites store on your computer to save "persistent" data; without them websites are largely unable to recognise you as you move from page to page and so may not function properly.

Cookie have two main types based on how persistent they are:

  • Session Cookies: these last for the duration of your session on the website and are deleted when no longer needed, normally when you close your web browser. Session cookies store short term information - this site stores your session id in a cookie.
  • Persistent Cookies: cookies that last longer than your session are known as persistent cookies; they can last as long as required - Google Analyics uses anonymous tracking cookies.

For more complete information on cookies and how to manage and delete them, you can visit the ICO website.

How we secure your information

  • We use Transport Layer Security (TLS) technology to encrypt any data sent between your browser and the website where appropriate (the Contact us and Quote Request forms).
  • We do not store any credit card or payment information either on the website or in the back office systems.
  • We maintain physical, procedural and electronic safeguards to help keep your information private.

However, you should be aware that, unless it is encrypted, information sent over the Internet (including by email) is not secure and can be routed through servers held in a number of different countries. For your security when entering personal details online you should therefore look for web pages that use TLS for encryption (they start with the prefix https:// and your web browser should display a padlock icon in the address bar).

Access and inaccuracies:

We aim to ensure that the information we hold about you will be accurate and up-to-date.

You can contact us at any time to enquire about the information we hold about you and correct any inaccuracies.
